Looking for a genuine, brand new Ford P5AT crate engine without the usual second hand gamble? Every engine we sell is factory fresh and has never touched a vehicle, will all the add-ons you could ever need, not someone else’s problem with a fresh coat of paint.
This is a fully comprehensive package designed for customer supply with all the parts and upgrades we know these engines need after years of P5AT development. We are also able to “build your engine” to get it ready to be a complete drop in solution!
Second hand engines come out of wrecked, written off or high kilometre vehicles, and you have no real way of knowing what that engine went through before it landed on a listing. Overheated? Starved of oil for years? Part of the exact accident that wrote the car off? You’re taking a stranger’s word for it, and that word usually comes from someone trying to move stock, not protect your wallet.
“Reconditioned” is equally a flip of the coin as well, for some sellers it’s a full strip, inspect and rebuild. For others it’s a wipe down and a good photo. You often can’t tell the difference until it’s already in your vehicle and something starts knocking or losing oil pressure a few thousand kilometres down the track and now you’re paying to pull the dud one back out too, which is how a “cheap” engine becomes the most expensive mistake in the shed.
A brand new, never installed genuine engine takes all of that off the table.

This listing is the most comprehensive engine package for the P5AT available today. Available with the exact parts we know they need when they get installed, with the options to add HOA specific P5AT upgrades to make it a complete package.

We can also make these engine packages “ready to drop in”. The labour option is there for this although this will require sending some of your existing parts / bolts etc. If you choose the ready to drop in assembly option, after your purchase we can communicate via email and discuss exactly what we require and help with the logistics to get the required parts/bolts/brackets back to clean and assemble your new engine package.
We are able to ship these all around Australia. If you need it shipped we have add a fixed rate estimated fee of $600 per package to be shipped around Australia, and an extra $400 option should you require a service from a tail lift truck.
We have considered most metro postcodes around Australia, and once paid we will we refund the difference back to your account, or in the rare scenario where it costs extra, we will show you the cost on our account and manually invoice the extra. This saves us having to manually quote freight for every customer that is enquiring. If your package costs significantly more to freight than the fixed rate we will touch base and discuss options and quotes available to us for you to select from. We believe its only the rural, semi rural and non metro customers that would have to consider it may cost extra and if this is your situation please feel free to msg our facebook page for a quick estimate on the freight quote.
The process for us atm currently works as follows; Select the freight option and tail lift options in the engine package list of add ons, and at the checkout page it will say “local pickup” that is the required option so we can bypass regular and automated shipping methods for this item. We will handle freight manually in house and communicate with you our options and costs based on our accounts, we expect most customers will get a refund on freight due to this. Please not we are also using quality couriers such as fedex and CRL express or Toll for pallet rates and not your budget no name couriers where the engine might disappear and we have to wait on a call centre hotline.
The dispatch on your order really depends on what your order consists of, for example if you have chosen a turbocharger upgrade which come with a specific build lead time or if you have chosen assembly of some kind. Turbocharger lead time on its own is approx 1-2 weeks to build a turbocharger from a core as they are built to order, although engine package orders have first priority on the build sheet. Full assembly of your engine as a ready to drop in package will be booked into our diary schedule and is depending on when your original pieces can make its way back to us, approx build time would be approx 1-2 weeks from purchase and whilst waiting for the booking it allows freight time for your parts to arrive ready for us to clean and reuse what we deem appropriate to reinstall.
