Specializing in VNT turbochargers and building/tuning them in house has taught us over the years that the exhaust is more than just a steel pipe that hangs off the back of the turbo. The VNT system is extremely sensitive to air movement and back pressure and we have proved many times on the dyno, across many makes and models that maintaining that back pressure is critical for stable and consistent boost control rather than having the vnt vane set react and then over react rapidly which can cause dangerous boost spiking if not logged correctly. That is why we have chosen to only sell our exhaust systems with high performance, high flow catalytic converters.
